Abstract
European Unity League is an independent ranking system for Magic: The Gathering across Europe.
Players collect League Points to qualify for national championships, and ultimately the European Magic Cup.
League Points
Players earn League Points based on their performance in each recorded event:
- 3 League Points just for attending.
- League Points equal to their total match points.
Tournament results can be reported by organizers or recorded by European Unity League from public sources. Tournament organizers are not affiliated with European Unity League unless explicitly stated.
National leaderboards
Throughout the season (Oct. 1, 2025 – Sept. 30, 2026), players accumulate League Points for the national leaderboard.
At the end of the season, top finishers qualify for their country's Championship.

Multiplier
European Unity League assigns a point multiplier to each event (by default 1x). Organizers may request to upgrade multipliers to award more points and offer invites to the Championship.

Any local store or organizer can run its own seasonal competition.

events hosted by your local organizer.

This organizer runs a separate ranking that only counts their
events.
3. Top 8 Playoff
After 15-52 events the top 8 battles for a
qualification.
Championship
One local organizer in your country will be chosen to host the Championship.

European Unity League may also classify major public tournaments for ranking purposes as events. Side events at those tournaments are typically classified as

qualifications are passed down to the next eligible player in this order:
- If a player already has a qualification earned from a
event or a
final and then wins another qualifying event, that event's qualification is automatically passed down in the final standings of the event.
- If a player already qualified via an event and then earns another qualification from the National leaderboard, this qualification is passed down the leaderboard.
Qualifications will not be passed down in any other cases.
