Information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs collected automatically through your interaction with the Platform. We also use cookies and tracking technologies (see Section 11).
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data and request that users do not submit such data.

- When Organizers submit it, including player names and results from events they report through the Platform.

- From publicly available sources, such as published tournament standings or event pages, where results are already shared by organizers or third parties.
- Automatically, when you use the Platform, through cookies and similar technologies that collect technical and usage data (e.g. IP address, browser type, device info).

- To manage accounts and profiles for Players and Organizers
- To collect, display, and maintain tournament results and League Point standings
- To publish public rankings and event information, including for players who have not registered
- To handle Organizer event submissions and invoicing
- To communicate with Users and respond to support requests
- To promote events using organizer-submitted materials (e.g. on social media and our website)
- To ensure fair play and prevent abuse, including the detection of fraudulent results
- To comply with legal obligations, such as recordkeeping and invoicing
We rely on different legal bases for processing, including the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (e.g. operating a ranking system), legal obligations, and consent where required.

- Internal documentation and project management tools

- Trusted partners, such as:
- Organizers of other tournament series, who may use Unity League results and rankings to issue their own invitations (e.g. to finals or qualifiers) or build extended leaderboards.
- Game publishers, who may use aggregated tournament data — including player names, rankings, event participation, and contact emails — to better understand how their game is played and improve game design or event offerings.
While most of this data (e.g. names, rankings, event history) is already publicly available on the Platform, we only share contact email addresses with partners who have a legitimate tournament-related purpose and under appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
8. International Transfers
We process and store personal data primarily in Switzerland and the European Union (EU).
When we transfer data outside of Switzerland or the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:
- Transfers to countries with an adequacy decision by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the European Commission.
- The use of standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or other legally approved mechanisms when required.

- Account and profile data is kept as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data.
- Event and tournament data (e.g. results, rankings, and decklists) may be retained indefinitely to maintain the integrity of historical records, seasonal standings, and public leaderboards. This data will be retained even if a player deletes their account, unless they request anonymization.
- Organizer and invoicing data is retained for up to 10 years, in accordance with Swiss legal and accounting requirements.
- Contact and support data is retained for as long as necessary to respond to inquiries and for up to 2 years for recordkeeping.
We periodically review and securely delete or anonymize data that is no longer needed.
10. Your Rights
As a user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access – You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction – You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
